The sharp blade of this tool is constructed of Japanese white steel， a legendary steel used in the construction of Professional Japanese chef knives， which is easy to re-sharpen and retains its edge well， making it an excellent material for wood carving. This tool's blade is attached to a robust and durable oak wood handle with a round finish for a comfortable grip and a metal hoop at the end to keep the handle from deforming or breaking when pounded with a mallet while carving. With its 30mm broad， extremely shallow cutting edge， use this magnificent piece of workmanship to beautifully smooth wood surfaces or remove bigger chunks of wood. The tool resembles a flat chisel but has a small curvature， comparable to a U gouge. Available in different blade sizes (each sold separately).
